22 DAYS TILL THE 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP. DAY 22. QATAR 2022.
An extremely controversial place to held out the biggest sporting event in the world. Qatar prohibits homosexuality, womens rights and more.
ARCHITECTURE
Starting off with the stadiums, The Lusail Stadium, the largest stadium in Qatar and the centerpiece venue for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, is now open to the public. On 9 September, the stadium hosted the Lusail Super Cup final between Al Hilal SFC and Zamalek, an event seen as the precursor to the FIFA World Cup Qatar that will be played later this year. Located in Lusail City, 15 kilometers north of Doha, the 80,000-seat stadium aims to create an immersive atmosphere for both players and spectators. The building was designed with Foster + Partners’ joint venture partner Arup, and sports specialist Populous. Construction has been completed on the Al Janoub Stadium, the first stadium commissioned for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Aecom, and situated in the city of Al Wakrah, the stadium underwent a design process beginning in 2013, and was inaugurated on May 16th 2019.
KITS
Absolutly horrific, the 2022 kits are the major dissapointment of the biggest sporting event ever. Puma released a horrofing collection, pretty much the worst ever, the shirts look like calendars. Adidas and Nike opted for the basic designs with no originality whatsover.

The ribbon features traditional Arabic designs. As estimated, Qatar is spending a whopping $200 billion on infrastructure projects including building stadiums, roads, hotels, etc. This will make the Qatar FIFA World Cup one of the most expensive world cups in the history of the game . And Qatar leaves no stone unturned to ensure a lively experience for fans.No alcohol will be served in the stadiums during the 2022 FIFA World Cup . Being an Islamic country, Qatar has strict laws against importing or consuming alcohol in public places.
