Darthmouth vs Brown

Polar opposite schools when it comes to academics. Brown's academics are very free with the students allowed to create their own majors while Dartmouth has the core curriculum. These are some of the forgotten ivy league schools, due to the lack of publicity and marketing that finances them alongside Cornell. When it comes to sports, they are rivals in tennis and football but the real rivalries are between Columbia and Dartmouth on baseball.

In recent years, baseball has been one of the more evenly balanced sports in the Ivy League, with five teams winning at least one championship and none finishing lower than 6.1. However, it appears that these two schools, neither of which is famed for its physical prowess, always find a way to play each other in the most important games. Dartmouth and Columbia have met in the Ivy League Championship Series four times in the last decade, including three times in a row from 2013 to 2015. Dartmouth has an interesting regular-season record versus the Lions: the Big Green are 16-5 in regular-season games against them since 2009, with the season series shared or won nine times. Columbia, on the other hand, has a 3-1 record against Dartmouth.

Brown University its known for being a liberal arts school, so the numbers concerning sports are pretty dramatic to say the least.

FOOTBALL

By the fourth quarter of Dartmouth College's Ivy League championship game against Brown, it was clear which team was vying for the title and which was last in the rankings.

Despite the fact that Brown scored more points than any Dartmouth opponent this season, the Big Green were able to contain Brown's high-powered offense. Dartmouth's offense, meanwhile, set a new season high in points.

Dartmouth won their 20th Ivy League championship in a high-scoring game. On Saturday at Brown Stadium, the Big Green pulled away with a 52-31 victory.

Dartmouth (9-1, 6-1 Ivy League) and Princeton (9-1, 6-1 Ivy League) are tied for the league title after Princeton trounced Penn (3-6, 1-5) 34-14 on Saturday.
