And Just Like That... S1E4 Review. Some of my Best Friends

First thing first, the fact that every show based in New York uses the New York Museum makes me so happy, it's like a crossover and i adore it. And Carrie checking up on her old closet gives me so much nostalgia, especially the 2021 version of the tutu and the Fendi baguette but im here for it. Plus it's nice seeing her run errands in a fashionable matter!

It's refreshing to see Carrie finally moving on from Mr Big, and Charlotte being so supportive. But I cant help but wonder, why the characthers are not like they used to, instead of evolving, they are generic.

I find it fascinating that Miranda's law professor explains her struggle with having a baby and the perks and cons of motherhood. Speaking of roads untaken, Seema, Carrie's realtor represents the single woman in her 50s, something I most definitely expected and was extremely exicted to see.

Charlotte really wants L.T.W. From becoming a mother's friend to becoming a real girlfriend-a distinction involving a real mother like me. However, Charlotte will be the only black man attended by L.T.W. and her husband Herbert (Christopher Jackson).

Fearing that she and Harry might not have black friends (they don't), she hires at least one colored fringe friend to invite him to her. I'm going to work. She is another P.T.O.mama, L.T.W. I returned suddenly.

But she and Harry are still attending Herbert's birthday party at L.T.W.'s house, and they're like the only white couple there. Charlotte prepared after forcing herself and Harry into a rally session on contemporary black writers. However, Charlotte came in and L.T.W. It's all in vain when you quickly confuse one of your guests with another black woman they know.

However, it turns out that Charlotte didn't necessarily have to go to college. Herbert's mother, Eunice Wexley (Pat Bowie), defends the seemingly frivolous LTW Charlotte, naming prominent black artists and addressing the importance of each piece hanging on the wall- To the joy of LTW enjoying putting her mother-in-law on the table.

Somewhere in these nasty scenes, Charlotte remembers who she is. She has gone far beyond the silent wife and mother she portrayed since she gave up gallery life in the original "Sex and the City". She is highly educated, has a culture and is very familiar with art. She was the only one who really had to do at this dinner party. As the series progresses, I'd love to see more of this multidimensional version of Charlotte. This is mainly due to the fact that no substantive plot has been given since the fight against infertility. come out.

This episode is like a bridge to these new stories, and I hope it gets even deeper.

But the show must continue without another of its repeating characters, and it's Stanford, because actor Willie Garson died in September while the series was filmed. The disappearance of Carrie's stubborn friend is explained when he opens a melodramatic letter from him explaining that he flew to Japan on a tour with a TikTok cash cow he manages. Anthony has also received a letter, except that Stanford University is seeking a divorce.
