AND JUST LIKE THAT... S1E6 DIWALI REVIEW

Exactly at the half of the season, our favorite new yorkers take the streets again. This time with the new characters as the protagonists.

This time around, culture appropriation made the cut in the conversation of the girls having dinner. Carrie attends a Diwali with her realtor, now friend, Seema as she hopes to get over Mr Big's death. She buys a new apartment Downtown even if she feels comfy in her old apartment, mainly to move on from the past and step into the future. Antonie tries to do the same due to his divorce with Stanford.

There's also an argument beteween Rose/Rock and Charlotte regarding her new gender identity, from haircuts to dolls and murals.

Miranda confesses her feelings towards Che, which its no surprise but I would have choose someone with interest in common for her. Her characther arc sucks even if it's realistic, we do not want to see real life, it's tv for christ sake!

When it comes to fashion, the choices were bold as usual but my favorite look so far on this reboot/ revival it's the suit Carrie wears to the plastic surgeon visit, chic, classic but wonder with a twist. And so is that stunning magenta gown with roses and a black oversized blazer

Age in woman was also a big part of the episode, I really enjoy having these topics discussed, it reminds me of the original show. And the locations are to die for, while discussing excessive drinking and plastic surgery, they shot a picnic in Central Park.

Near the end we see everyone enjoying themselves as they are and accepting it, also embracing it.
