The 2022 How I Met Your Father spin off is here and so is the theme song! This time around, Sophie, played by Hilary Duff, tells his son the story about how she met her husband in 2022.

Kim Cattrall aced the acting and the voice over as per usual, Ive got to say, the casting was impecable and so was the new way of telling the story, she meets him on a tinder date!

Its so nice to have a womens perspective about how horrible and often disgusting its to date online. She finds the perfect guy, Ian, who happens to be a marine biologist that will move to Australia the very same night of their first date. Her best friend, Valentina, meets Charlie, a wealthy birttish who pulled a Meghan Markle as they mentioned on the show and ends up living with them.

Destiny its also a topic brought up in this spin off, so are the big romantic gestures. But the most important part, was Marshall and Lilys old apartment making a cameo! Such a great detail for the first episode. A new gang, the same old apartment.

In the uber on the way in, she meets two guys that are pretty friendly and hit it off, till the phone mixed up, she ends up in one of the guys proposal, where Jesse, the other friend introduces his sister and the other characther.

Overall, the characters are charming, inspired by the original show, specially Sophie who s a hopeless romantic like Ted Mosby. I see a lot of possible running gags, a key element to any sitcom.The style of the show its carefree, quite like the original, funny and quirky. Even the fashion on every characther looked straight out of the olriginal, pretty basic and not very thought of but i loved the fact that the director its the same as HIMYM.
