HOW I MET YOUR FATHER EPISODE 2 REVIEW

A new episode dropped and i must say, im surprised with the script, its much more raw and explicit than the original. The vocabulary its too strong for my taste but once a again, its 2022, tv its explicit, raw and strong.

We can spot a new running gag, Sophie s favorite break up song, and for some reason they still workout to Jane Fonda, which its surprising considering its the 21st century.

Theme bars are back, just like the original snd Sex And The City. The gang goes to a nightclub and Sophie gets a text from Ian and a love story or love triangle starts with her and Jesse, even if she is still hang up on the other guy.

Charlie tries to have new friends so that Valentina does not break up with him, Sophie realizes she likes Jesse after a cheesy meet cute. Overall, they hangout at a bar like in Mac Larens but instead of a booth, its a couach like in Friends.

I still do not find the show funny, i believe this its gonna be similar to the last seasons of GThe Big Bang Theory, a regular misplace of a rom com, nothing out of this world. The cast has no chemistry and the new elements on the show do not work, just the nostalgia references to the original. How I Me Your Mother worked back in the day because the writting was impecable but also because Neil Patrick Harris carried the show on his back, hope im wrong but i dont see that much potential to this spin off. Nevertheless i will continue reviewing it, its just the first two episodes. Im glad they did not decided to strike tragedy like in AJLT.
