HOW I MET YOUR FATHER S1E6 REVIEW

How I Met Your Father Season 5 Episode 5 was a notable episode for the season, bringing the emotions to a new level. As a result, episode 6 had a lot to live up to if the program was to continue on its current trajectory. I had hoped that the program will maintain up and be able to achieve that level of excellence for the entire second half of the season, thanks to a fantastic emotional performance last night and vastly improved humor from episodes 1 and 2. Is Episode 6 following in the footsteps of previous episodes?

Because every sitcom needs an episode in the beginnings of a new relationship, "Stacey" alludes to Sophie's current love interest's ex-girlfriend. To avoid spoilers, the man in question will not be named in this episode. Sid and his fiancee invite him and Sophie to a weekend away. Obviously, tensions were high because they had never slept together before.

The episode did an excellent job of emphasizing the show's interpersonal aspect. I've already mentioned how beautifully they've developed the characters and relationships thus far; this episode focused on each of the key cast members individually. Everything was handled effectively, from Sid and his fiancee dealing with their own issues, to Sophie and her current love interest coping with jealously from the ex-girlfriend, and the rest of the cast throwing a dinner party that ended up revealing many secrets about their relationships as well.
