Charlie Puth is a gifted pop musician who has progressed from social media likes to RIAA certifications. He has consistently achieved multi-platinum status on his own and with high-profile collaborators. Puth began a lengthy all-platinum run in 2015 with the Meghan Trainor duet "Marvin Gaye" (2015) and hasn't looked back since. He has regularly mined vintage sounds for his high-spirited contemporary pop, including early R&B, classic singer/songwriter, and the commercial end of new wave. Prior to releasing his debut album, Nine Track Mind, in 2016, the singer, songwriter, and producer had a couple of other hits, including the chart-topping Wiz Khalifa collaboration "See You Again." He rolled out a second full-length, 2018's Voicenotes, with a guest list that ranged from James Taylor to Kehlani and balanced older influences with contemporary sounds.
