Paris Hilton is an American socialite, businesswoman, and multifaceted media personality who has made a name for herself as a live DJ and charting pop singer. Her debut album, Paris, was a worldwide success, peaking at number ten on the Billboard 200 in 2006. In the years since, Hilton has released a series of singles, including "Good Time" (with Lil Wayne) in 2013 and "I Blame You" in 2020. (with Lodato).

Paris Hilton, the eldest of Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards' four children, was born into wealth and the American equivalent of aristocracy. She is the heir to the family's hotel chain (her great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton, was the founder). Growing up in New York and Los Angeles, she rose to prominence in 2003 with the Fox reality series The Simple Life. It was a success, and Hilton went on to work in modeling, writing, movies, and music. Drawing inspiration from Gwen Stefani and Ashlee Simpson's lighthearted summertime pop, her album's first single, the Top 20-charting "Stars Are Blind," was released in June 2006, followed by the full-length Paris in August.
