30 ROCK. REVIEW
I like to compare it to other shows that were similar at the time, such as Parks and Recreation, which I think has much easier jokes and less clever writing. Or The Office, which 30 Rock manages to make even crazier. I'd say it's most similar to Arrested Development, especially with Tina Fey's composer husband's hilarious theme songs, which remind me of AD, and songs like Motherboy.
Every episode is jam-packed with one-liners and story arcs that make rewatching the show that much more enjoyable.
Tracy Mo's delivery is flawless, and his wild antics are hilarious; however, Jack McBrayer and his naive facial expressions are the most amusing, but the absolute best somehow is Alec Baldwin, no matter how much you may not like him - he is a phenomenal actor and his delivery is on another level.
Since "Arrested Development," this has to be the best sitcom ever made. Everything about it was fantastic: the performances, the jokes, the characters... Many bad comedies, such as "Family Guy," have appeared in recent years, so television shows such as "30 Rock" are a breath of fresh air.
I'm not sure why the ratings were so low at the time. Some of the storylines may appear unrealistic, but that is part of what makes this show so good. 30 Rock is littered with 4th wall breaks and roasts of Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, and NBC, which only add to the show's perfection. The writing is simply amazing.
