COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE

"Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" originated as a Crackle Web series and is now available on Netflix, where its tenth season recently premiered. In each episode, Jerry Seinfeld drives a picturesque car to the home of a renowned hilarious person. The twelve new episodes are a little snappier than the previous ones, which occasionally allowed silences to speak of easy company or creative awkwardness. But the basic framework remains: Jerry and his guest drive around, hang out, have a bite to eat, and engage in a friendly conversation about everything from philosophy of comedy to everyday life theories. It's hardly nutritious, but it packs a punch.

Clearly, the opportunity to borrow luxury vehicles was a major motivator for Seinfeld, who is said to own many dozen Porsches. The recent appearance of the Lavazza logo onscreen, with its advertorial texture, fits the series' atmosphere as a celebrity vanity project. The series itself plays like a charitable advertising brochure, giving the impression that the process was a passionate shambles.

Each caer embodies the guest on that episode, its personality and charming self. Basically its a show about nothing, pun supewr intended as a Seinfeld fan.

Despite the fact that the show isn't nearly as humorous as it believes it is. Do you think Jerry Seinfeld is amusing? No, not the 'Jerry' from 'Seinfeld,' but the real thing. Because as you watch this, you can see where the two personas diverge. Unfortunately, as others have stated, I felt Jerry to be arrogant and frequently overshadowed by his guests.

I believe the premise is sound. It's made fascinating by nice vehicles and comedic icons. The jazz adds a terrific urban touch. Jerry is the series' Achilles' heel. He's just so arrogant and full of himself, and he's not that hilarious in terms of comedy. Too many coffee shots, too. It quickly becomes tedious. It is watchable but a bit self indulgent but who are we kidding we would all do the same if we had the chance though, at least i would.
