GOSSIP GIRL. A MASTERPIECE.

The lives of several rich students at Constance Billard Prep School, a top-tier exclusive high school in Manhattan's Upper East Side, are chronicled in this drama television series. The pupils at this high school rapidly learn that they can't keep any secrets from Gossip Girl, a blogger who lurks among the students. Who could Gossip Girl be, is the burning question on every student's mind. Who is eavesdropping on their classmates' personal lives?

Starting off with the writting of the show, you get to have mystery, comedy and drama with pop culture references and a great soundtrack, it does not get better than that. The wardrobe of each character its unique and fantastic, similar to SATC.

Blair Waldorf, Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald, Serena van der Woodsen, and Dan Humphrey are the five kids who have everyone's attention. Each and every one of them play a significant role in the elite high school. Blair, is the queen B, Serena, the IT girl, Dan, the outsider, Chuck and Nate, the playboys.

Argubly the very best teen drama there is, Gossip Girl mannages to create a product based on fashion as its substance. Every individual has a storyline of their own, complemanted by their personal style. The playlist that follows along tells the respective plot resulting in a masterpiece.

Another reason this show is the finest is that it depicts the reality of how social media can control and dominate people's lives. Everyone is addicted to the Gossip Girl website. Even if it destroys relationships, people will continue to read it.

The network decided to take advantage of this in a stroke of marketing genius, launching the now-iconic OMFG campaign for the show's return in spring 2008, following the end of the writer's strike.

The show navigates their luxurious lives in the upper east side all under the watchful eye of gossip girl an enigmatic individual on the internet who has permission to uncover their secrets at all costs and make them public everyone seems to be operating on a very specific and sheltered status quo but things suddenly begin to change when serena vanderwoodsen the former it girl of this elite community returns to new york, one year after suddenly running away to connecticut, under mysterious circumstances and this right there is where i think gossip girl is really clever as a show because on its own the premise is not all that interesting. It's just a bunch of rich kids being rich but by adding a mystery element to serena the writers do a great job at making you want to know what the hell is going on here who is this girl why did she leave why is everyone so freaked out that she's back and it keeps you engaged long enough for you to become obsessed with all the other stuff going on in the show.
