The Vampire Diaries. REVIEW

Based on L.J. Smith's novel series, this supernatural drama follows the lives of two brothers, Damon and Stefan Salvatore, who have been living as vampires for centuries. After years of moving from place to place to conceal their eternal youth (and bloodthirsty condition), the brothers return to Mystic Falls, Virginia, where their human lives ended. Damon is snarky, handsome, and charming, with a penchant for evil, whereas Stefan strives to remain noble, in part to atone for past wrongdoing.

This show has so many twists and turns that it will keep you entertained for the duration of the series. The plot, character development, and overall quality of this show make it one of the best supernatural shows of all time.

I assumed The Vampire Diaries would be a show for tweens, but I was mistaken. I was about to give up after a few episodes because it appeared to be the television version of Twilight, but once I got past the first few episodes, I was so glad I did. It develops into a really good supernatural show with a high rating for a reason! If you enjoy supernatural shows, I highly recommend this one.

Keep in mind that it is a CW show so do not expect The Vampire Diaries to be a super complex critically aclaimed award winning show, which it kinda of is. I am not a fan of sci-fi/supernatural cinematography but this show offers a different perspective about it, it has bits of comedy, drops of drama and more!
