Decoding Fashion Trends. Monochromatic.
Monochrome looks have taken over the fashion world in 2022. The monochrome trend, on the other hand, is tricky because its boldness makes for a high-risk, high-reward fashion moment. Even so, it's difficult not to be inspired by monochromatic looks and want to replicate them.
One obvious advantage of monochrome dressing is that it makes putting together outfits easier. When you wear all one color, you appear more put together without having to exert more effort. Fortunately, you can still reap these benefits and look fashionable if you dress a little more conservatively than those who go all-out purple.
A neutral color is an easy way to rock the monochrome trend in a subtle way. Colors such as tan, grey, or even the tried-and-true black will give you that coordinated look without being overpowering. You may be hesitant to pair a beige piece with another color for fear of looking too blah, but when you wear a completely beige outfit, you can make a real statement.
Another simple and uncomplicated way to rock this trend is to pair a jumpsuit or dress with matching accessories. Instead of going for a neutral, pairing a red coat and red bag with your red dress is fun and effortlessly chic without having to match multiple parts. It's even fashionable to wear all-black loungewear.
With a matching cardigan, T-shirt, and sweatpants, you can easily transition from a sloppy outfit to a cute ensemble for working from home or spending a cozy night in.
